About the role
As Chief Product Officer (CPO) at Cropster, you will guide and shape our product vision, strategy, and execution, ensuring that our solutions continue to create meaningful impact for coffee professionals worldwide. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success to develop products that are intuitive, adaptable, and aligned with customer needs, reinforcing Cropster’s position as a trusted industry leader. This role requires a visionary and hands-on leader who blends creativity, execution excellence, and business growth while fostering an inclusive, supportive, and empowering product culture.
What you'll do

Vision & Strategy

  • Develop and communicate an inspiring product vision that aligns with Cropster’s mission and business objectives.

  • Guide the creation and implementation of a dynamic product portfolio strategy, ensuring sustainable growth and industry leadership.

  • Recognize and respond to evolving trends in the coffee industry, technology, and sustainability, ensuring Cropster stays ahead of customer needs.

  • Work collaboratively with the executive team to align product strategy with company-wide priorities.

Portfolio Expansion & Market Growth

  • Oversee the end-to-end product lifecycle, ensuring innovative and scalable solutions.

  • Identify opportunities for geographic and industry expansion, strengthening Cropster’s presence in key global markets.

  • Foster meaningful relationships with industry stakeholders, research institutions, and sustainability initiatives.

  • Balance R&D investments with business priorities, optimizing resources for both customer and company success.

Team Leadership & Culture

  • Inspire, mentor, and nurture a high-performing product team, fostering a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and shared success.

  • Cultivate strong relationships with founders, C-level leaders, and cross-functional teams.

  • Champion a welcoming and supportive work environment, valuing diverse perspectives and encouraging innovative problem-solving.

Customer-Centric Innovation

  • Advocate for a customer-first mindset, ensuring product development is guided by deep customer insights and empathy.

  • Promote data-informed decision-making processes, empowering teams to gather, interpret, and apply customer and market data effectively.

  • Utilize modern product discovery and validation frameworks, ensuring a smooth and customer-focused journey from ideation to launch.

Operational Excellence & Cross-Functional Execution

  • Enhance product development workflows, ensuring high-quality standards from concept to launch.

  • Encourage seamless collaboration between Product, Engineering, UX, Sales, and Marketing teams to enable an effective go-to-market process.

  • Establish clear and thoughtful roadmap prioritization processes, ensuring alignment across multiple product lines.

We are looking for someone with
  • Extensive experience in product management, including several years in a leadership role (VP or Director level).

  • Experience scaling SaaS platforms and nurturing product-market fit in a dynamic, growth-oriented company.

  • Strong background in portfolio management, balancing R&D investment with business impact.

  • Proven ability to develop and implement successful product strategies that enhance business growth.

  • Demonstrated ability to cultivate and lead cross-functional product teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

  • Experience leveraging data-driven product management to enable thoughtful and informed decision-making.

  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and executive leadership skills.

That said, we’d be particularly delighted to hire someone with
  • Passion for the coffee industry, food technology, or sustainable supply chains.

  • Experience in M&A, due diligence, and product/team integration is a strong plus.

  • Knowledge of AI, IoT, or automation technologies within SaaS products.

  • Ability to thrive in an international, remote-friendly, and cross-cultural environment.

What you can expect
The salary range for this position starts at € 100K gross/year and we look at factors like your experience and individual qualifications to determine our offer.
